Standard & Poor's (S&P) lowered and affirmed its raing on classes of CWMBS Inc.'s mortgage pass-through certificates series 1993. The default status of the class B-6 certificates resulted from the complete erosion of the class' credit support, leading to a principal write-down to the security. The affirmations reflect credit enhancement percentages that adequately support the current ratings.
