Thomas Wind to head conforming, Scott Powell to head nonprime

JP Morgan Chase & Co.'s home finance unit has two new chief executives heading its prime and subprime businesses.

Chase Home Finance announced it promoted Thomas Wind and Scott Powell to CO-CEOs. Wind will head Chase's prime mortgage business, while Powell will be responsible for home equity, subprime mortgage and community development.

Wind had previously been in charge of Chase's capital markets division, and Powell had led the consumer businesses.

"Tom Wind and Scott Powell share the same values and principles as well as a passion to grow Chase Home Finance into the best in the business," said Chase retail executive Charles Scharf in the announcement. "They will work as partners to manage the complexity
