"Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm a man of wealth and taste."
Words about the underworld from Mick and the boys, or just an introduction from tycoon and Ameriquest Mortgage founder Roland Arnall?
Whatever the case, the subprime lender has announced it will sponsor the U.S. leg of The Rolling Stones' On Stage World Tour.
The Stones, who will celebrate 70th birthdays during the upcoming decade, will play 35 performances beginning Aug. 21 at Boston's Fenway Park.
Arnall, Ameriquest's founder, is worth $2 billion, according to Forbes magazine, and is about the same age as Stones frontman Mick Jagger.
"The Rolling Stones offer Ameriquest a broad platform to strategically communicate our brand," said Ameriquest executive Brian Woods. "In today's saturated marketplace, the Rolling Stones break through the clutter to reach fans in a way that few iconic brands can."
The Orange, Calif.-based company will promote its sponsorship online (www.AmeriquestMortgage.com) with "interactive web content including free music track downloads."
